UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2026
For Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5)
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree from NCTE recognized institution
- Valid Teacher Training Qualification such as BTC / B.El.Ed / Equivalent
- Final Year Candidates are also eligible
- Minimum 50% Marks in Graduation / Training Program (as applicable)
For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8)
Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks (45% in some categories as per rules)
- Valid Teacher Training Qualification such as B.Ed / BTC / B.El.Ed / Equivalent
- Final Year Candidates Eligible
- Special Education Candidates from RCI Recognized Institutes also eligible
